About Landlord Law Conferences

Landlord Law have been running conferences since 2013. The 2020 and 2021 conferences were delivered online and we are running this event online to allow as many delegates as possible to take advantage of the fantastic training on offer.

This Conference is a great training event for you and your staff. We have chosen some of the best legal and landlord property brains in the business to speak to you about the impending new legislation.

The new legislation will affect all landlords, all agents and all who work in the private rented sector. Penalties for breach can be severe so it is important you are up to date!

Delegates will also get access to the recordings for 3 months after the event.

Below are some comments about our previous online conference events:

“As we live in N Devon this was an ideal way for us both to enjoy a conference albeit a virtual one without the need for major arrangements here at home. Very good value, a real no brainer.
Has been so enjoyable, relaxing, and, of course, such good value, and has been useful to visit parts later on.“

Ian, Landlord

“I was dubious about taking part in a virtual conference beforehand but I really enjoyed it and found I concentrated much better in the comfort of my own home.
The content and subject matter were spot on for our business and all the speakers were very good.”

Anna, Property Manager

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Can I cancel and get a refund if I am unable to attend?

A: Note that we are happy to transfer your booking to a colleague. But, yes, you can cancel at any time up to 12.00 noon on the first day of the conference and get a full refund. All requests for cancellation should be made via our Green Button support service. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Q: If my computer cannot access the event, can I get a refund?

A: It is unlikely that you will have problems, as we will be using standard browser-based software which works well - provided you are using Firefox or Chrome for your internet browser. Mac users should note that the system does not work with Safari (but it is easy to install Chrome or Firefox on a Mac - you may already be using them). However, if you are unable to view the event, we will give a full refund provided you let us know before 12.00 noon on the first day of the confeence.

Q: Is there CPD?

A: Yes, provided our system shows you have attended all sessions. If you qualify, you will be emailed a CPD certificate after the event. This event carries 11 hours CPD. Our CPD is accepted by most accreditation bodies, including the NRLA and Propertymark.

Q: I want to use two coupons, but the system won't let me

A: I am afraid you can only use one coupon - so if you have two, you will need to decide which one to use. Landlord Law members can use a coupon and still get their automatic discount, but coupons cannot be used at the same time as Landlord Law points as our system does not allow this. Contact us via the Green Button messenger service if you need further help.

Q: Can I pay by cash or cheque?

A: No, payments must be made online via our system (where you can pay by card or PayPal) or by BACS if paying on invoice.

A: No, however, all Landlord Law members will get an automatic discount of 10%. Members will also be able to offset their Landlord Law points.

Q: Will I be able to ask questions?

A: Yes, most speakers will allow some questions (subject to time), plus there are the two-hour-long Q&A sessions at the end of both days.

Q: My property is outside England - is this training suitable for me?

A: No, this training is focused on the Renters Rights Bill, which will only affect landlords and those managing rented property in England, UK.

Q: Does the conference cover commercial lettings or social housing?

A: No, the Renters Rights Bill, which the conference is about, just deals with residential lettings. That this conference does not cover any of the social housing issues set out in the bill.

Q: I am a Landlord Law member paying online and am having difficulty offsetting my points

A: Landlord Law points cannot be used with coupons. You will need to decide whether it is most cost-effective to use your points or the coupon. If you have other issues, please contact us via the green button service for support.

A: > Click here for our help page. You will see the green button bottom right on that page. It is not visible on this page as this page is hosted outside the Landlord Law website.

More comments from delegates at past online conferences:

"Probably the most informative, current and relevant training around the law affecting Landlords and Tenant in the Private Rented sector. Excellent value for money. Thanks Tessa for putting it all together!"

Ruth Gibson
Adviser

"As a landlord, it is easy to get to the point where you fear that change is outpacing you. The Landlord Law Conference is a great place to ensure that your CPD is updated. Excellent speakers who are experts in their fields and go out of their way to make complex topics accessible. The conference is always very ably facilitated, which is a real bonus. Thank you."

Jacqui
Landlord

"I would recommend landlords attend to keep abreast with the ever changing and in some cases illogical legislation. It could save them significant money and time avoiding disputes and fines."

Tom
Landlord

"There are very few opportunities to hear from so many distinguished speakers on our chosen specialist subject of the PRS and landlord/tenant relationships . I think this demonstrates the respect that the industry has for Tessa. A lot of work and very well pulled together.

Marion
Landlord

"Really glad I attended the conference, even virtually, all the speakers were extremely interesting and made the two days informative and definitely worth attending."

Shona

Property Manager

"If you think you know it all - think again. This is a grown-up conference with professionals who are on top of their subjects - two days packed with information to keep us up to date and prevent us falling into elephant pits. Excellent value.
